Mykola Tomenko: There is Great Interest in Belarus regarding the Ukrainian History, Culture and Traditions
On Friday, staying with the official visit in Minsk, Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met board of the Ministry on Foreign Affairs and Ministry on Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus.
Furthermore, Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament met the teaching board of the higher educational establishments, heads of the nursery school and representatives of the non-governmental organizations of Belarus. He would present to them educational projects on teaching of Ukrainian history, language and literature.
In the course of the meeting, M. Tomenko emphasised that in Belarus there is a great interest to the Ukrainian history, culture and traditions. He stressed that it is necessary to think over the presentation of the modern Ukraine and Belarus, especially taking into the consideration the fact that in next year there would 20 years of Independence of Ukraine and the active program of the Ukrainian days in Belarus is planned.
